Creating learning environments where all young people feel safe, heard and understand is critical to their learning and development. Participants will learn strategies for teaching young how to be anti-racist. Additionally, they will explore the concept of being “colorblind” and how it is not a helpful approach to understanding issues of race and racism. Lastly, participants will learn about resources (educational tools and books) that can help them teach young people how to better understand race, racial identity and racism.
