This is an in person training. This training is designed to provide people with understanding of mental health and how they can assist as non-clinicians. This is a SAMSHA evidence based best practice training.
Participants will learn the basics of mental health and make connections between mental health and responses that can be made. Participants will gain knowledge about typical adolescent development and the impact mental health has on development. Training has a specific action plan that is developed through the training. All participants receive a YMHFA book and receive certificate that is valid for three years.
