In this in-person training, participants will learn about the amazing changes that happen in the brain during adolescence. The focus will be on moving from dreading to celebrating adolescence. Specifically, attendees will learn why adolescence is not just puberty and gain a deep understanding of the concept of the “ESSENCE of Adolescents” by Dr. Daniel Siegel. This training will also focus on the changes that are happening, understanding of chaos and integration, things that can be done to support the brain changes and behaviors, relationships, caregivers' own attachment and response to youth, and the impact of adversity on the spark of brain change during adolescence. Strategies will be presented to help support all who work with adolescents, whether personally or professionally. Together, all can learn how to help guide what is wired together in adolescents! CEUs will be offered.
